How do we book?

Booking with me is super simple! Once we mutually agree on a date, time and package, you can pay the total payment upfront via PayPal or check. I'll also send you an electronic contract to sign. Once I have both of those things, your session is on the books!

Where should we go for our photos?

I know plenty of cool spots! Just let me know what you're envisioning for our session (beach, nature, city, etc) and I'm happy to send you my location guide of places I love shooting at! However, if you have any ideas, please let me know! I always enjoy shooting in new places!

What should we bring with us?

I'm not really a "props" kind of photographer. I enjoy focusing on you instead of material items. However, if there's something you would like to bring, please let me know what it is ahead of time so I can put some ideas together for it! I typically bring a blanket with me for you to sit on, but you're welcome to bring your own.

What should we wear?

It's all going to depend on the season and location. I love when clients dress a little "extra". Long flowy dresses always photograph really nicely, cute stiff brim hats, etc. Colors I feel always photograph nicely are creams, mustards / burnt orange, navy blues, and maroons. Avoid wearing heavy patterns or clothes with logos / wording, they can be a little distracting for photos. But whatever you wear, you should feel like yourself! This is all about you and your uniqueness!

Can I bring my dog to our session?

I love dogs! I'd love for you to bring your dog if they are friendly around strangers! Please make sure they are on a leash, and that you bring something to clean up after them. I'd also highly recommend bringing a family member or friend along to watch the dog when they aren't being used for photos.

How many pictures do we get?

I don't have a set number of images that I deliver. I definitely value quality over quantity, but I try my best to provide a fair number of images for you to enjoy.

How do we get our pictures from you?

Your photos will come in a link through your email. You'll also get an email with instructions from me, as well as a print release form. There is an expiration date on your link, so you'll need to download the photos before that date. Failure to do so will result in a $25 archive fee if you need a new link.

Do we get prints?

While I do not provide physical prints, I do give an option for you to order professional prints through my recommended print shop. You will see a shopping cart icon in your gallery link. If you'd rather print at your own local shop, you may do so with the print release form. The print release is for clients only. Family, friends and guests are not allowed access to this form. I cannot guarantee the quality of prints from any shop outside my own.

do you travel for sessions?

Absolutely! I love traveling, whether it's within a short distance from Cleveland or across the country. I'm down to go wherever your story takes me! Please know that travel rates apply for locations anywhere 30+ miles from Amherst, OH. Where are we going?!

Do you offer gift certificates?

Absolutely! If you're wanting to purchase a gift certificate for someone, please let me know which package you'd like to pick and who it's for, and I'm happy to email you a certificate with their name on it.

what is the turnaround time for galleries?

The turnaround time for regular portrait sessions is 4 weeks, while weddings are anywhere from 7 to 10 weeks.

when is the best time of day to schedule our session?

The best times of day for sessions are either early morning or later in the evening when the light is not as harsh. Check the sunrise and sunset times as a reference!

how far out do you book?

I ask that you inquire at least 3 to 4 weeks before your desired session date so I can plan my schedule accordingly. Weekdays are ideal for my schedule. Weekends book up very quickly.

what if it rains on the day we're supposed to do our session?

As we all know living in northeast Ohio, we can get all four seasons in a day. If the forecast calls for rain, our best option would be to reschedule for better weather. We can look into indoor places as a back up, but they are fairly difficult to come across- unless you want to do an in-home session. We can chat about it as it comes up, but your payment will be transferred to the new date in the event of a weather reschedule.

what if we have to cancel our session?

If you have to cancel your session, your payment will be put as a credit towards a future session. Please let me know within 48 hours of our session so I can plan accordingly.

any tips for planning a session with small children?

Plan on timing the session around naps and eating schedules. Bring a snack and drink for them so they can take a little break if they get grumpy during a session. Bring a favorite toy to make them feel more comfortable (one that you might not mind being in your photos since they might want to hold onto it). Talk to them about the photo shoot the week leading up to it so they may be excited about it instead of nervous. Also, a little bribery never hurt anyone.. ;)
